YOU HAVE ANY QUESTION BEFORE YOU REGISTER? ... YOU WILL FIND THE ANSWER
BELOW, IF NOT YOU CAN EMAIL US :) Q: How
much can I expect to Earn per week?
A: You can Earn Up to $2,400 per week! This WILL obviously
depend on a number of factors; such as the position you are in; the department
you are in; the company that you are with and the length of time you have
been with that company. The
final figure on your potencial earnings will be provided to you once
you have been presented with your contract of employment. You can however be sure of one thing - that u will always make more money in the same position on a ship as you would on land! (And Save even more, because - NO more Rent to pay! And the FOOD is FREE Too!)
Q: What are the Age requirements?
A: The minimum age to work on a cruise ship is 18 and there are no restrictions
on the upper age limits, so even if you are in your 50's or 60's DO NOT hesitate to apply
because the cruise industry runs on "quality of service" - and quality
service is only provided by people with great experience, which only gets better with age! Q: What about the work Visa?
A: Citizens
of ANY country can legaly work in the Cruise industry! You will NOT
require any “Work-Visa” for this, because Cruise Ships are registered
in “Offshore Countries” & Cruise in “International waters”. So,
whether you are from India, Korea, China, Indonesia, or any other
country the simple answer is YES ... you CAN work on the Cruise ships!
Q: Can couples or friends work
on board together?
A: Yes, you can do this by applying to the same company
at the same time! Provided that there are suitable positions for
both of you and provided that you shall both be the successfull candidates
for those positions - YOU WILL end up working together on the same Ship! The right timing might take a few weeks.
However it is possible to achieve and obviously well worth the
effort!
Q: Can International students work on Cruise ships? A: Yes Absolutely, because when U work on a cruise ship you are working in "International waters!" and
your VISA DOES NOT restrict you to 20 hours per week! Working on ships
is not working in Australia ... different rules apply! So YES you can
work in the cruise industry. Once you sign your employment contract,
you will be able to apply for the "C1&D1 Visa" which will allow
you to work on Ships!
Q: When
is the best time to apply?
A: There is no good or bad time to apply! ..
Because positions in the cruise industry come up on "weekly basis".
World-wide there are over 800+ job vacancies every week! And you
can apply at any time all year round. Of course the rule of "THE
SOONER THE BETTER" does apply ... because the hiring process can take a
few weeks.
Q: What
should I do to START applying?
A: Simply click on "Register
Now", fill out the form to obtain the copy of our "Cruise Ship
Employment Guide"
and start applying. The guide will provide you with the information on
where the jobs are and you simply apply for them directly. Our "Cruise
Guide" has imbeded links to all major cruise companies, so online
applications for jobs will be done at the click of your mouse! Q: How Long does it take to get hired?
A: Same as the average time it takes to find employment
in any shore based industry. Once you have obtained our "Cruise Guide", you will
be able to start applying for positions from day one! You'll be able to
find out who is hiring and for what position. Once you know what suitable
positions are available, simply apply for them directly on-line! After that
normal application procedure applies.
Q: What
is the average length of a contract?
A: 90% of contracts are 6 to 12 Months.
Only contracts for Entertainers, Dancers or DJ tend to be shorter
contracts - like a few weeks to a few months. However majority of
positions on board are pretty much "FULL TIME" (provided you keep renewing your contract and are happy with your job)
The cruise company or a concessionaire that will hire you, will provide you with a "Letter of Employment",
outlining all the details you will need to know before you resume employment.
Including the length of your contract, your Salary, Insurance cover and other benefits
offered by the cruise company or the concessionaire. (Generally any hospitality or retail contracts are for about a 9-12 months to start with and can be extended if YOU wish!) Furthermore,
if you get tired of the cruising region your ship is based in, you will
be able to request for a re-assignment to one of their other ships in
another part of the world ... anything is possible to satisfy you
employment needs! Q: What or who is a "concessionaire"?
A: A Concessionaire is basically a Business that operates
on the ship, irespective to the Cruise Company. Think of a Cruise ship
as a large shopping mall and the concessionaires as the individual
shops that run a shop in that shopping mall. Hair dressing salons,
Beauty therapy salons, Gyms and All Retail outlets on a ship are all
run by concessioanres that own that individuall business on the ship.
Which means that you would be applying for any of the above positions
directly to the concessionaire as opposed to the Cruise ship. Our
Cruise Guide not only list over 204+ Cruise ships that you will be able
to apply for positions directly, but will also provide you with all the
"Concessionaire" companies world-wide for you to apply to!
Q: What
could I expect to earn?
A: As explained above - How much you will Earn depends on a number of factors,
such as the company you work for, the ship you are working on, the department
you are in, the position you hold as well as the length of time you have
been with a particular company. The exact amount of your salary and/or
commision shall be specified in you "employment contract" once
you are offered employment. However it could be as high as $2,400 per week!
Q: Will I be able to communicate with my family?
A: YES ... FREE Internet WiFi is on ALL of the Ships! ... So Email,
Skype or another low cost CALLING service is available! ... Most
crew-members bring their laptops onboard and use it in their room.
Furthermore, most ships that operate around various island tourist
destinations, such as the South Pacific or Caribean stop over in ports
every 2 or three days! If you need to send Traditional Mail!
Q: Do I have to order the Cruise Guide? A: INCREASE YOUR SUCESS BY 10 FOLD! ... By Purchasing
our Training Manual YOU will enhance your success by 10 fold! ... Why?
... Because Cruise companies that we have been dealing with since 1996
are fully aware of the fact that we provide the necessary training for
potential crew-members ... and quite simply prefer them to
other applicants! ... Would you hire a Pilot fly a plane
without prior training? ... We all know the answer to that.
Q: Is there a Money Back Guarantee? A: YES, absolutely, if
you do not find employment in the Cruise line Industry within the next
6 monts, please contact us for a full refund of $69.95 ... that's how
confident we are! YOUR SUCCESS IS OUR SUCCESS! Q: How
often will the Ship stop in a new Port?
A: The most common itinerary can be from 3 nights or
5, 7, 12, 14, 16 or 21 days out at sea. Usually a vessel could visit anywhere
from 3 to 8 different islands/ports in that time. So basically every second
or third day you would be visiting a new port.
Star Cruise for example have a 3 night/4 days cruise from Singapore to
Phuket, Langawi and back to Singapore to refuel, restock and pick up new
passengers and leave again on the same route later on in the same day. Q: Can
crew members take their kids on board?
A: No, There are no facilities for this! So crewmembers would be best to place their kids
in the care of a relative during their contract on board, there are no
child care facilities on board for crew members - only for passengers. (It's Not diferent to working at Myer or Bunnings - would you take your kids to work there? Of course not.)
